Michael and Jessica have been together for eleven years — and their love still feels brand new. Photographing these two was like spending time with your best friends: comfortable, joyful, and full of little moments that quietly tell a big story.
Although they’ve lived in Utah their whole lives, Michael and Jessica had never been to this mountain location before. When I suggested it for their engagement session — and mentioned we could bike in — they were totally in. That sense of adventure and openness made the entire session feel effortless and full of fun.
We timed their session for golden hour, and it couldn’t have been more perfect. Bright yellow wildflowers stretched across lush green grass, and Snowbasin stood proudly in the background, glowing in the late afternoon light. The trail we rode in on wove through pockets of sunshine and soft shadows — a dream setting for two people whose connection runs deep.
The best part? It wasn’t just the epic mountain views or the wildflowers. It was how Michael looked at Jessica when she wasn’t watching, and how she laughed freely at his jokes, like she’d never heard them a hundred times before. The way they rode their bikes side by side, occasionally bumping into each other and laughing, was the most honest kind of romance.
Michael and Jessica, thank you for letting me capture this piece of your story. You reminded me that the length of a relationship doesn’t dull the spark — it just deepens the roots. I can’t wait to see what’s next for you two!
